Game Recap

The two top teams in the East Central Conference played to a hard-fought draw in the second round of the conference playoffs. With the wind at their backs Plymouth unleashed a relentless attack in the first half and took the lead in the 35th minute. The Chargers regrouped at halftime and came out fighting in the second half. Jake Semenske, Ethan Duba and Joseph Raasch began connecting for attacking runs in the middle of the field and wings Jacob Moeller, Luke Willis, Alec Mueller and Jacob Niemann controlled the sidelines. The KML fullback line fought tirelessly to win balls. With their conference title hopes waning, the Chargers earned a final free kick with a little over a minute remaining. Joseph Raasch lined up from 30 yards out and sent a shot to the top corner of the far post to tie the game. The tie keeps Plymouth and KMLHS tied for the East Central Conference going into the final playoff game.
