2016-2017 Basketball Cheer Team

Cheer_websiteThe KMLHS Cheer Team is made up of dedicated and enthusiastic athletes. These athletes devote a significant amount of time and effort to be part of a program that strives to be their best for God’s glory.

The head coaches have extensive experience coaching cheer. They are dedicated to excellence, both athletic and academic. The athlete’s faith and education are of the utmost importance to the coaches, and they are dedicated to helping their athletes have a successful high school career.

The current cheerleading program consists of a varsity team. The varsity cheer team has earned a WACPC Regional Championship since 2003, and have held the title WACPC State Champions for their division, the eleven out of the past fifteen years. To God be the glory!

The football cheer team cheers for home games, with the season running from late August to mid-October. The basketball cheer team cheers for boys and girls varsity home games, with the season running from early November until the beginning of March. Practices are normally two to three times a week. Tumbling classes are also offered. During the season, the varsity team normally compete in 5-6 competitions.

The team also offers a 4-day summer camp for 1st-8th grade girls, a day clinic for 4-8th grade girls, and hosts their popular grade school cheer and dance competition. The team also attends various camps and clinics throughout the season and is involved in several community service activities.

Selection of the team occurs in early March.
