The Girls KML Varsity season came to a close with a WIAA Sectional Semifinal loss to Milwaukee School of Languages. The game gave a glimpse of the future and provided a season high for Senior Jamie Maas. The Chargers team depth was demonstrated as they held a 2 point lead at the half and pushed the lead to 6 at the start of the second half. The MSL Hawks came back to claim the lead with four second half 3 point FG’s. The Hawks were able to stave off every threat in the second half by making 17-20 FT in the game. Mass led the Chargers with 14 points including 2 three pointers. Juniors Megan Gerner and Jordyn Heckendorf scored 11 and 9 respectively. The end of a season is often sudden and seemingly premature, however when this team looks back at the accomplishment they will take pride in back-to-back Christine Rathke Memorial Tournaments, back-to-back Eastern Flyway Conference Championships, and consecutive Regional Championships. Thanks to the great student support and to all of Charger Nation who came out to Cheer on the Chargers.
