The KML Chargers took on Winneconne tonight at home in a conference match. KML took Winneconne in three sets with scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-19. During the first set aggressive serving and a strong offense led the Chargers to a quick win. In the first set, Emily Honzelka had 4 kills in 5 attempts. Winneconne fought back in the second and third sets getting the Chargers out of system. However, the Chargers were able to recover. In the third set, Stella Zarling had back to back aces and went on an eight run serving streak to gain momentum in the Chargers favor. Kourtney Wollner and Elle Truckenbrod had 10 and 9 digs respectively. Emily led the Chargers with 11 kills. Elle Truckenbrod had 7 kills. The Chargers had 6 team blocks. Madison Fischer had 12 assists and Samantha Kohl had 10. The Chargers overall have 9 wins and 8 losses. They head to Berlin, WI for a conference tournament before playoffs next week. The KML volleyball program celebrated Parent’s Night tonight and want to thank their parents for everything they do for them. They couldn’t do it without them. Go Chargers!
