Seven minutes into the first half the Chargers were down 9-2 and couldn’t buy a bucket. Then, Reegan Siegel made a shot and a free throw to complete the 3 point play. Alex Sterrenburg scored two straight baskets and the game was tied at 9. After a couple trips, Lexie Kudek hit a 3 pointer and KML would take their first lead which they never gave back. It was a physical, hard fought game and the Chargers did what they needed to down the stretch. Rachel Frey was in foul trouble during the game, but still led the Chargers scoring 9 points with 7 in the second half. Lexie Kudek had 6 points in the game, while Reegan Siegel and Alex Sterrenburg each added 5. Reegan also added 8 rebounds and 4 steals which both led the team. Ryen Pagano pulled down 7 rebounds and Rachel Frey added 3 steals. KML will start conference play next Friday as they head to Berlin.
