The Chargers found themselves down early in this one as the Indians scored the first 5 points of the game. At the 12 minute mark in the first half, KML took their first lead of the game at 9-8. It was the 9 minute mark when the Chargers took the lead for good. Kewaskum cut the lead to 3 points late in the half, but that’s as close as they would come as KML scored the first 7 points of the second half. Isa Murgas Bennett had a huge game for the Chargers as she scored a team high 14 points and pulled down 9 rebounds. Ella Walz also stepped up big for KML as she dumped in 12 points and had 5 steals. Taylor Schwalenberg led with 7 steals and also chipped in 9 points. Allis Cain was tough on the boards as she pulled down 7 rebounds. Melanie Meinert led in assists with 5 and added 4 rebounds. The Chargers are right back at it on Wednesday night as they travel to Lakeside Lutheran. Game time is at 6:00.
