The KML Chargers took on the Kewaskum Indians tonight in the Regional Semi-final matchup. KML and Kewaskum have faced each other three times this season in both conference and tournament matches. KML was able to defeat the Chargers for the fourth time in an intense matchup. In the first set, the Chargers and Indians were neck in neck until the Chargers were able to pull ahead in the second half. The Chargers minimized their errors and extended plays to take the win for the first set. Aggressive serving by the Indians caused the Chargers to play out of system for most of the second set, but the Chargers fought back. The Chargers were able to make a run for the second set by improving their serve receive and offense ultimately beating the Indians 27-25. In the third set, the Chargers were in the lead for most of the set for a win 25-17. Elle Truckenbrod led the Chargers with 12 kills. Emily Honzelka had 7 kills. Nadia Schroeder had 4 total blocks. Maddie Fischer had 15 assists and Samantha Kohl had 14. Defensively, Elle Truckenbrod had 15 digs, Meredith Bock had 10 and Maddie Fischer ended with 9 digs. The Chargers will face Lake Country Lutheran in the Regional Finals this coming Saturday at KML.
